These beautiful boxes can date as far back as 1921, or as late as 1984. They were originals, made by the Lane Furniture Company for graduating high school girls, trying to convince them to buy large hope chests. Furniture stores across the nation participated. Now they are collector's items!
Please note: Due to age, vintage boxes probably will have slight imperfections, so please expect it. More serious flaws will be noted in the listings. Sorry, no returns. You can ask questions before buying if you wish.
I don't think this is a Lane product, but it's a very nice little cedar box with unusual blonde coloring. It's sturdy and the latch works great.

COLOR WOW! It's a nice straight box with a good solid lid too. You can't go wrong in purchasing this Lane cedar box. Almost like new!

Unfortunately, it has a crack in the backside, see picture at right. You could cover the bottom and sides inside with fabric. Someone removed the stamped place of origin inside the lid too.

Might be a worthwhile investment? Should be. It's an unusual shape with rounded corners and resembles a full size hope chest. Its size is a little different, too. Once cleaned up, it will be a spectacular dark cedar box.

Interesting box. Rabbited corners. Has feet and a lid knob. The cedar top and sides appear to be painted brown and it needs sanded off to show the beauty. Otherwise it's a fine box and very clean inside.

Has feet, and rabbitted corners, and a horse and carriage silouette on the lid. It has many small scratches but is in good shape otherwise. It's been around for a long, long time, a real antique.
