Consumer Alert

 So many companies are copying and selling my star quilts illegally these  days that it's a constant battle for me to keep up.  These quilts are  coming out of China, and sold by Chinese and Japanese and American companies.  My legal copyrights have been ignored  even by the U.S.
 

Finally, TODAY, I am putting up a "Consumer Alert" page on my website  that warns consumers not to buy three different star quilts of mine that  are floating around on the internet.  These U.S. and Chinese and Japanese companies  are so brazen that they are using my own photos to sell my own star  quilts, when the photos are clearly on my website as the owner of these  quilts and photos.  They sell these cheap imitations as Native American  star quilts when they are not (a violation of the Indian Arts and Crafts  Act of 1990), and the prices are shockingly low compared to authentic  Native American star quilt prices, which is so offensive to Native American star quilt makers.  I'll let customers know to look at the COMPANY  that the quilt is from, and if it's not my company, then the quilt is  not authentically mine.  And I encourage all customers to report it to  me if they see a suspicious ad.  Just email me at  dianesnativeamericanstarquilts@gmail. com.
